We are pleased to announce that our Cornus La Frank project, located in Burwood, is now complete. We have commenced the handover process with our eager residents and would like to explore, in detail, this stunning new addition to the Cornus Developments family and to Burwood.
Located on Burwood Highway, this project was immensely popular, due to its location. Surrounded by amenities and some of Melbourne’s best educational institutions from; Deakin University, Mount Waverley Secondary College, Presbyterian Ladies College and Mount Scopus Memorial College. Burwood is slowly emerging as one of Melbourne’s hottest new suburbs thanks to the addition of Burwood Brickworks Shopping Centre, which has been deemed the most sustainable shopping centre in the southern hemisphere.
Our Cornus La Frank project is filled with light due to the corner location and orientation of this project. Located on the corner of Burwood Highway and La Frank street, Cornus La Frank provides residents with an abundance of natural light thanks to the addition of oversized double-glazed windows. This architecturally designed element, in conjunction with the double insulated walls, facilitates cross ventilation throughout the home and silence from the outside world. Both of these additions are also environmentally friendly building and living practices.
Let’s Explore The Exterior Design Of Cornus La Frank
When designing the project the exterior of the Cornus La Frank project was to assimilate with its surroundings. Light, modern and neutral, this building was designed to stand the test of time. The windows reflect the sky to tie into the white and grey render, which is juxtaposed by the dark fencing and ground floor rendering. Complementing the building is the greenery from the landscaping and existing landscaping that helps to complete the buildings over aesthetics.
The Interior Design Elements
The homes are generously designed, light-filled spaces offering owners a simplified lifestyle with low maintenance living.
The interior design developed for Cornus La Frank and Cornus Woodlands draws on many similarities. Our Cornus La Frank interior features a neutral colour palette with warm tones and hues of grey and white. The warmth of the apartments is characterised by the European Oak engineered floorboards and the custom timber joinery, in the kitchen. This timber joinery is in collocation with the white 2 pac custom joinery and white reconstituted stone benchtop and splashback, which also features a stunning yet subtle grey veining. Complementing the subtle grey tones are the chrome Bosch appliances, tap and undermount sink, which help to tie together all the elements that make this kitchen a modern classic.
When designing this project, with our architects, we wanted the spaces to continue with the Cornus Developments' signature style of flowing spaces with open-plan living. Ensuring this brief was met, all of the homes have open-plan living areas that seamlessly transition to the outdoor space, whether that be the courtyard or balcony, to create one harmonious living space that can be enjoyed by all.
